Where is bald hills qld

It's also a breading ground to Mosquitos, Snakes, Rats, mice and cockroaches which make regular appearances in everyones backyards. The parks are rarely mowed and the play equipment is covered in Graffiti and littered with food wrappers. Many teenagers hoon up and down the streets on Motor Bikes as there is nothing in the area to keep them occupied. The Cars and trucks traveling on the Highway and Gympie Arterial due to being so close to the houses are extremely loud during the night!

The houses are all built on clay meaning over the years many houses have developed cracks and severe structural damage due to ground movement. I built my house on a floating slab so avoided this There a very few places to eat out and the shops are not within walking distance so you have to take the car. The local Centrelink unfortunately attracts the wrong sort of people into certain parts of the area and unfortunately they spoil it for others.

The only positives of the area are the wide streets, Good transport system and phone reception. Im glad I got out of the area when I did! Pete, am disappointed and surprised you had this experience living in an area that I proudly call home and my workplace.

I have lived in Bald Hills for 20 years and have found it safe and easy to live in. My children have grown up here and regularly use public transport to go to the city for school and now Uni and work. There are thankfully only a handful of properties in Bald Hills that are affected by flooding, unlike many of Brisbane's suburbs. In relation to rentals Bald Hills has a lower percentage of rental properties that the State average per suburb and indeed for the Brisbane average.

I can only say that you must have had an unusually difficult set of circumstances as this does not reflect living in Bald Hills generally. The locals love it, we have had good growth in properties and I expect this to continue into the future as the market stabilises. I was constantly having things stolen from my property, my neighbours car had the locks smashed in an attempt to steal it on two occasions and I was constantly painting over the graffiti on my fence.

Since the development on Wyampa Road the houses behind are flooded with excess run off due to the ground being built up almost 1m behind everyones fences and I don't think anyone can deny the flooding that occurs on the bridge over the duck pond.

Whilst it may only put the houses on Bracken Ridge Road at risk of flooding it is still an inconvenience to the people that live in the area as they have to take an alternate route which is also prone to flooding. My children also grew up in Bald Hills and with so many great schools within a 10km radius it is a very handy place to live, however as they grew older they out grew the dated and overgrown parks and started to get bored as there was nothing for them to do within the area.

We always found ourselves getting in the car to travel to other suburbs for entertainment. Now I have nothing against people renting at all, and those people that look after there homes know Im not talking about them and they would know of the people Im talking about.

Gladdon street is a perfect example, there are immaculate properties mixed amongst houses that to be honest look third world. This is great for people looking to buy an investment property to rent as stated, but with affordable rent and the local Centre Link just a bus ride away it is very tempting for people who may not have good intentions as shown buy the state of many houses.

The transport is indeed very convenient which I highlighted as a bonus to the area, however it is required as nothing is within walking distance. You cant have it both ways rose, if you want to sell houses for top dollar then stop renting to losers, i'm sure you wouldn't want them living near you!

Hi again 2 years on previous name nick 01 lost old login details , anyway, Rose the real estate has packed up shop, the losers have moved out of the street and everything is good, Bald Hills is a really nice suburb around Rothbury st. One real estate agent shutting up shop is not going to turn a bad suburb back around, so either its not as bad as you claim or there is something else going on here.

Well my Daughter and family live in Bald Hills and we have stayed with them often when visiting from overseas. We love walking and have not seen or heard anything that you describe. It is an extremely negative review.

Both my Daughter and son in law work in the CBD. They have a ten minute walk to the railway station. The Village shops are 10 minutes away and it also has a veterinary surgery which is handy. Bunnings and the shops that surround it are walking distance away. The primary school is close by.

Our family has lovely neighbours and I have heard of no crimes. I am writing this review in Bald hills is a great old fashioned suburb. Lots of good solid friendliness amongst the neighbours who always want to help and are interested in you. Not a day goes by that I dont have a chat to a neighbour here. Favours are always offerred and returned with gratitude and a smile.

It is peacefull with lots of things to do for the kids with a great bike path, the river, off leash area, cricket grounds, playgground, loads of space for kicking the footy around. There is no excuse for staying inside and playing computer games here!! For the adults there is a fantastic local independent gym close by that offers very friendly and personal service with all the services you would expect from a huge multi national gym.

There are child care facilities that are second to none, 2 primary schools 1 state primary and 1 private as well as an excellent private secondary school not to mention a TAFE just a few kilometres away at Bracken Ridge.

I dont want to live anywhere else - nor do my children. Great for public transport, family spirit, schools and heritage. Come and see the suburb for yourself. Lovely leafy streets and parks, great schools and public transport. Solid built houses on good sized blocks in the older parts of the suburb. Train station and reasonable bus links provide good access to Chermside and the city.

Highly recommend for a family who wants room to move or couples wanting to have a family and retirees who perhaps want to feel like they're moved to the country without having to leave the city. Excellent place to live with children and families All facilites close by and very safe place. Back Queensland Brisbane Bald Hills.
